On 19-21st June 2015, a cultural explosion lit up the streets of Doncaster, inside and outside, for three days showcasing an eclectic mix of music, theatre, dance, installations, art, poetry, circus and spectacle.
Empty and unused shop units were transformed into unique and quirky spaces plus existing Doncaster businesses joined to create some truly exciting happenings.
Historic Doncaster spaces were transformed into performance venues from the Frenchgate Centre to Sir Nigel Gresley Square, from intimate one-to-one performances to large scale theatrical shows, from walkabout interactive street acts, to chilled-out hammocks by the world music stage, the DNweekeND was a weekend to remember here in our home town.
There were over 50 things to see and do at the DNweekeND over more than 30 venues.
To make things a little easier we created two 'Zones'
Zone 1 venues: Frenchgate Centre, Baxtergate, St Sepulchre Gate, Market Place, Corn Exchange, The Mason's Arms, Church View and the Mansion House
Zone 2 venues: Cast, The Point, Doncaster Museum, Arts Park, Old Girls School hoardings, Waterdale Centre including empty units, the central square and Notorious Aardvark, Taste Cafe, British Heart Foundation Shop, Doncaster Brewery, Sir Nigel Gresley Square.
