The DNweekeND Festival celebrated it's fourth year this September, creating a colourful family-friendly street extravaganza for one weekend- with some of the best arts and performance both home-grown and from across the country taking over the town centre for two days of free fun for all ages!
Sir Nigel Gresley Square was the festival hub with activities leading down through The Village at Waterdale Shopping Centre and inside Cast too. The festival was packed with surprising and astounding free entertainment including street theatre, circus, music, dance, painting, photography and crafts.
We had pop-up festival food trucks and facepainting, the most amazing volunteer team and some quick thinking when the weather didn't go our way! Team RUOS can't wait for next year's DNweekend and to welcome all of you back again for more arts and fun.
If you would like to learn more about the wonderful performances and acts we had over the weekend, please download our Festival Brochure below.
The DNweekeND is a member of the Without Walls Associate Touring Network, a group of festivals working together to extend the reach and benefits of the existing Without Walls programme in areas where there is low engagement with the arts, bringing high-quality outdoor work to diverse audiences across England. www.withoutwalls.uk.com/atn
