The Rossington Village Quilt is a centenary project, created by and for the Rossington Community with the theme of scars as a way to represent the way time heals us all, to celebrate the living and the peace those in WW1 fought to protect.
The quilt has now been completed, so thank you to everyone who shared a scar or a story connected to it. The scars have been photographed (and remain anonymous) then digitally printed onto fabric to make a giant, and striking patchwork quilt to be permanently displayed in the village.
The quilt was created through an extensive process including drop in workshops and courses in different textiles techniques and working with a wide range of groups in Rossington. The quilt was then constructed and finished by a core team led by Katherine.
