What is make yourself at home?
In partnership with Making Up Your Street.
11 members of the Doncaster community have been survey’d and sent a personal art kit according to how they answered the survey and what their interests are. This is the first of three kits and we have seen a positive reaction from individuals who have received the kits so far!
There are a range of crafts our 11 participants have been sent, such as a mosaic tile kit, a bird house kit, a coiled fabric vessel to decorate a vase, amongst many other creative kits.
We are excited to see this project continue and see what else the 11 members of our community get sent to be creative in their own homes.
First Round of Creative Kits
In July 2021 the first round of kits were distributed to 11 members of the community in Doncaster. The participants were supplied with equipment and instructions to create beautiful art for themselves and their homes.
Participants were invited to use skills such as woodwork, embroidery, sewing among many others and created things such as bird boxes, aprons, oven gloves and mosaic tiles.
The team have received fantastic feedback from the first kits and wonderful images of what our participants have created with their first packs. Take a look at the submitted images below!
