A Summer Message From
Right Up Our Street
Hello to all our subscribers!
We've had a busy start to our new phase as we've gotten stuck into our new projects and started delivering in the community.
During the next three years we have promised to deliver in all 21 wards of the borough in Doncaster, supporting community festivals, galas and much more!
We were lucky enough to support Bawtry Arts Festival in June and Tickhill Gala in early July along with providing 12,000 printed craft materials for communities across Doncaster to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee.
There are plenty more projects to keep an eye out for this year that you can get involved in. Make sure you're following us on social media for updates. We can't wait to deliver more exciting projects to your locality.

The Queen's Platinum Jubilee
To commemorate the Platinum Jubilee of the Queen we gave the community the opportunity to add a creative activity to their own celebrations.
We printed 6,000 crowns and 6,0000 placemats both designed by Helen Stark.
It was fantastic to support so many communities across Doncaster and add creative value to your events celebrating the Jubilee.
Bawtry Arts Festival
We had an exciting week supporting Bawtry Town Council with their delivery of Bawtry Arts Festival.
We invited illustrator Molly Jones to be our Artist in Residence for the week. Molly illustrated a large map of Bawtry and encouraged the people of Bawtry to draw their own home and add it to the growing map.
During the weekends we offered Screen Printing workshops run by Print Imperials. The community were able to try their hand at Printing fun designs as well as print their own illustrations on tote bags to take home.
Tickhill Gala
This year we supported Tickhill Gala by bringing String & Strong by Fully Booked Theatre and the Vegetable Nannies by Plunge Boom to the Gala!
Wayfarer People
Wayfarer People is series of walks captured through words, film and images with people and their places focusing on Mexborough and Denaby. Exploring the ghosts of our memories that are connected to the landscape and urban environments we live in or once did.
Three films created by James Lockey and project managed by Dominic Somers. Poetry by Helen Mort.
The first film features Mexborough's John Beal and is available to watch now.

MEMORY LANE: AN EVENING SHARING & CELEBRATING AFRICAN-CARIBBEAN NIGHTLIFE IN DONCASTER
Join us for an evening of food, music, & reminiscing as we go down memory lane and share our stories of the Black experience of Doncaster's nightlife between 1970 - 2000.
Where were the best spots? Who were the hottest DJs? What are the stories you keep retelling years later?
Do you have any items from this era? Photographs, drinks menus, event posters, bar mats, or ticket stubs that you've kept years later - your stories and memorabilia could be included in an exhibition celebrating the history of Doncaster's club scene next Spring.
