About: Doncaster Central Learning Centre CIC (DCLC) was established in 2010 as a centre-based service targeting vulnerable, disadvantaged and marginalised groups, particularly from the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities.
They were keen to create opportunities for their members to visit cultural venues within Doncaster that they hadn’t had the confidence to visit in the past. As English is also a second language for most they were keen to create Go-See opportunities that meant they could visit together.
Right Up Our Street organised a behind the scenes trip to Cast, before attending Three Short Ballets, performed by Northern Ballet.
These visits then led on to Right Up Our Street supporting the delivery of Qigong and traditional Chinese dance lessons at darts.
