Right Up Our Street

We headed into town- a celebration was planned

for three years of RUOS in DONCO land.

Phase one of the project was now all complete

over 8000 people found ‘Right Up Our Street’.

The Leopard played host for this mighty do

lovely Ryan and Lauren event managed this too.

The Bentley Chair proved popular all night

where an artist made silhouettes in black and white.

We had Pop-Up pub-dance with a drink or two

and poetry readings from Mexborough for you.

The food proved popular- pie and peas for all,

an un-orderly queue formed right down the hall.

There were films and pictures and other works of art

all carefully curated by many who took part.

With this first stage over and so much achieved

there’s many more events in phase two now conceived.
