Tuesday 2nd November 2021

Rossington, we need you to get creative!

Make sure your completed designs are in your window by dusk 4:30pm on Tuesday 2nd November ready for viewing

Right Up Our Street are so excited to be supporting a community led Window Wanderland | Day of the Dead in Rossington.

Window Wanderland is an award-winning, COVID-safe event that can bring joy and animation to a community just by decorating a window with bright colours or drawings.

We need you to get creative and make your own ‘Day of the Dead’ themed window displays, in time for sunset on the 2nd of November, ready to be admired by your community.

The Mexican holiday of ‘Day of the Dead’ is a way to celebrate the memory of those we’ve lost in a positive way. You could decorate your window with images of flowers or sugar skulls or something completely different!

FREE DROP IN WORKSHOPS

We are putting on two FREE craft sessions at Holmescarr Community Centre over half term for you to drop in and create beautiful artwork for your window displays and work on a collaborative piece, led by textile artist Karen Hall.

You can also come along and collect free arts materials for your window displays!

Dates and times are as follows:

Holmescarr Community Centre

👉10am-1pm Wednesday 20th October

👉10am-1pm Wednesday 27th October

Drop in, get creative and feel inspired!

FEEDBACK

A big thank you to everyone who took part in the Rossington Window Wanderland – Day of the Dead! We loved seeing your beautiful window displays on Tuesday.

As this is the first time we have brought Window Wanderland to your community we would love to know if you have any feedback for us for when we plan future events in Rossington.

If you have taken part in any workshops with us, had a craft bag delivered through schools or observed the fantastic displays across the community (The Styrrup Pub, Holmescarr Community Centre, The Royal Care Home, Memorial Hall etc.) we would love to know your thoughts.

If you complete the survey you will be entered into a prize draw for tickets for Aladdin, this years panto at Cast, for a family of four. A big thank you to Cast for providing the tickets.
